With a diverse career in philanthropy, Marian Fletcher has gained extensive experience with prestigious organisations such as the United Nations, the International Labour Organisation, and the World Economic Forum. Throughout her career, Fletcher has always been driven to tackle global issues to make the world a better place for all generations. This includes fighting for activist-related causes like illegal finishing, human rights, plastic pollution, and many more vital issues.
She founded the platform ‘The Climate Club’ at the start of 2023 to catalyse change and educate its people on embracing sustainability in their everyday lives. Fletcher primarily advocates for marine conservation in the GCC region and promotes more climate literacy throughout the MENA region.
The Climate Club initially began as a WhatsApp group, yet its growth was rapid, and the community flourished super fast. Now, it’s also a community full of individuals willing and eager to learn and take action against climate change and the environment’s disintegration. They push for a sustainable life and create impactful education for the future generation.
Fletcher is on a mission to empower individuals in the GCC to take meaningful action against climate change in their daily lives. She believes there is a unique opportunity to lead the conversation about sustainability and create impactful solutions.
