There are plenty of things that spring to mind when we think ‘Zero Gravity’. Pool parties, energetic beach festivals, Justin Bieber spotting and, of course, THAT video. But food isn’t necessarily at the top of that list… until now.
We’ve grabbed a bite there once or twice before, and we’ve done a few night brunches over the years, but food was obviously never a main focus.
We’ll be honest with you – during our visit, our main intention is to make the most of the pool and get some sun while relaxing on one of the enormous and comfy sun beds.
However, that all changes once our poolside lunch nibbles arrive. Instantly, our sunbed turns into a gourmet cuisine restaurant thanks to the gorgeous (literally, the food is actual beautiful) dishes that are served on massive white trays. The dishes are so eye-catching, in fact, that fellow guests gather around our sunbed to take pictures.
First of all, let’s talk about the sushi. From California and dynamite to Vegas and ikura rolls, it’s fresh, tasty and beautifully laid out on a picturesque platter. The sashimi (12 pieces consisting of Ahi tuna, Norwegian salmon and Hamachi) doesn’t disappoint either.
Then there are the platters! The Gravity Social (Dhs279) consists of easy poolside treats including chicken satay, crispy calamari BBQ chicken wings, veggie spring rolls and Wagyu meatballs.
If you prefer to stick to the seafood route, the hot seafood platter (Dhs563, for two) consists of grilled Atlantic lobster, prawns, Scottish Salmon, scallops, squid rings, veggies and more.
Like a bit of both worlds? Then the surf & turf platter (Dhs479) is for you, combining Atlantic lobster with 150 days Angus beef ribeye, topped off with butternut squash puree, organic baby leeks, garlic mash and thyme jus. Fancy!
Zero Gravity already has one of the best pools, Dubai skyline views and beaches in the city, and now their menu has also become a main attraction. We’re VERY impressed.
