Ellie Goulding is set to perform in Dubai

Dubai Music Week is back and bigger than ever! This year’s three-day event will include live performances on the Main Stage Arena kicking off with a Jason Derulo on Wednesday, followed by Ellie Goulding on Thursday and Thirty Seconds to Mars on Friday. There’ll also be the du Live & HTC Festival stage where you’ll find five acts from the region performing every day. Redbull promises to showcase some of the Middle East’s top emerging talents, so be sure to show your support. Plus, there’s a brand new segment called Celeb Access hosting masterclasses and celebrity guest speakers, including Jason Derulo himself! Celebrity X Factor vocal coach CeCe Sammy will also be conducting vocal classes across the 3 days. More details to follow.

If you need advice on how to make it in the music biz, then the free BizTalks are for you! From Ahlan!’s ‘Music & Media: How to Get Famous’ to ARN’s radio sessions, experts within the industry will take your questions and share their specialist knowledge. Budding stars can further hone their skills with a series of Dubai Music Week masterclasses, from dance lessons to vocal coaching!

BizTalks will consist of panel discussions between industry professionals. Each session will have a compere mediating the sessions, and will last up to one hour. You can expect discussions on anything from emerging talent within the UAE music scene to how to get into the business. There will be two panel discussions per day which will host of to 50 guests. While the sessions are free to attend, entrance is based on first come first served basis. All entrants must register online for a place at the sessions.

9pm: Jason Derulo live

Following the enormous success of her No. 1 sophomore album Halcyon Days, Love Me Like You Do is the first taste of new music from Ellie Goulding in 2015. To date, the singer/songwriter has achieved a staggering 6 million album sales and 20 million single sales worldwide. In 2014, she was the winner of the BRIT Award for Best Female Solo Artist, performed on a sold out UK arena tour and featured on Calvin Harris’ huge hit Outside.

9pm: Thirty Seconds to Mars live
The band consists of brothers, Jared Leto and Shannon Leto, and lead guitarist Tomo Miličević. They have sold over five million albums worldwide and the band’s videos have over 500 million YouTube views. Thirty Seconds to Mars has consistently enjoyed sold out tours and numerous awards; including a dozen MTV awards globally and honours from NME, Kerrang! and Fuse. The band is noted for its energetic live performances including their number one hit singles From Yesterday, Kings and Queens, and This Is War and the band’s fourth studio album Lust Love Faith + Dreams debuted at number six on the Billboard 200. Their début performance in Dubai is sure to be hotly anticipated by fans.
