Driveless vehicles could be on UAE roads by 2021

The UAE is set to roll out autonomous vehicles on roads, with a goal to having them active by 2021, it has been reported.

While it has not been officially announced yet, there are talks and initial drafts filed for suitable regulations regarding the same.

Once approved, UAE will take the first place above other countries in the world to place regulations for autonomous vehicles.

2020 will see more developments in the following automobile industry.

According to Abdulla Al Maeeni, Director General of Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA), autonomous vehicles will soon make its presence wide in the market by then.
