Doner Restaurant in Dubai reached a legendary food status last month when it was officially welcomed into the Guinness World Records. On 26 August Tarika Vara, an official from the Guiness World Records announced that the restaurant had created the world’s largest doner. Weighing in at 468kg and at a height of 295cm and a width of 60cm this all meat treat fed more than 3000 people during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

“It has pleased us to have won this title from the Guinness book of records in the Emirate of Dubai which never seizes to amaze people with its unique features, monuments, landmarks and achievements,” said Doner restaurant owner, Rana Abdullah.

Making the meat monument took 15 chefs who worked in a “race against time in one of the biggest events ever,” continued Rana.
