Sarah May-Brown, 32, is from the UK and is a project manager

“My dress is from Warehouse, shoes are from Office and my bag is Mulberry. I normally like to shop in London as I like one-off and interesting pieces. When I travel back to the UK, I tend to shop at Spitalfields market and TopShop. I can actually be quite casual for work, which I like.”

Miles Iuiz, 25, from the Philippines, is an executive secretary

“This dress is from a shop in the Philippines but I normally like to shop in Forever 21 and H&M in Dubai Mall. I tend to dress according to my mood, which can change from girly and cute to something more formal, but I can get away with it at my work.”

Kucquiel Mason, 27, is from the Philippines and is an accountant

“This dress is from the Philippines as I find it much cheaper to shop when I’m back home than here.”

Sam Kelsey, 29, is from the UK and is training to be a lawyer

“I have to dress quite smartly and conservatively for work so I opt for lots of suits, but at the moment it’s too hot so I’ll usually wear a smart skirt and a shirt or silk top. I don’t have to wear heels, which is good, but we’re not allowed to wear flip-flops. I generally like to shop for staple buys at Next, Debenhams, Reiss or Ted Baker.”

Hannah Lions, 27, from the UK, is a legal PA

“This dress is from Primark in the UK. Whenever I go home, I try to stock up on the essentials, which are far cheaper there than here. I picked this up last week when I went back for a holiday. I have to be quite smart for work. I wear a lot more dresses and pretty things here than I would back in Britain. I also wear heels more here as people tend to glam it up big time in Dubai.”

Jennifer Hardie, 37, is from Canada, and is CEO of a PR agency

“This dress is from Boden. I normally dress a lot more formally for work, but today I dressed down a bit. I find a simple black dress always works. Most of my day outfits are black, because I think you alway look stylish in this colour and it gives a professional impression. I’m wearing wedges today because I’m traipsing though sand, but usually I’ll wear heels. I tend to buy clothes when I travel, but I also like to mix high street with designer. I’m a big LK Bennett fan as they have great shoes for tall people.”

Caroline Nailer, 32, from the UK, is a copywriter

“My pumps are from TopShop and I live in them. My jeans are also from TopShop, my silk camisole is from Marks & Spencer and my cardigan is from H&M. I can wear what I like to work; they like you to be quite creative. I’m a big fan of Mango and when I have some money I love Zadig & Voltaire, otherwise I’ll just piece lots of different things together.”

UK-born Cathy Appiah, 44, works in real estate

“My trousers are from H&M, which I love, and my top is from Warehouse. I adore black trousers and I think every woman needs a pair for work.”
