WOAH Game of Thrones Broke a World Record at the Emmy Awards

Our fave fantasy series is going to SMASH it at the Emmys this year. Game of Thrones has been nominated for 32 awards. THIRTY TWO. The HBO drama has broken all previous records for most nominations in a single year by any drama series.

The show, whose recent season may have caused quite the stir amongst fans has still managed to make its way to the top following these nominations.

Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke have been nominated for outstanding lead actor and actress in a drama series and for the first time, four stars from the same series have been put up to compete for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series – namely, Gwendoline Christie, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams.

To-date, the series has won 47 Emmys and currently holds the title of being the most-Emmy winning series in history.

Idk about the Iron Throne but the fight for these awards is going to be one to look out for!

Here is the complete list of all other nominations.
