Winehouse’s Final Fashion Collection to Hit Stores
Proceeds from tragic singer Amy Winehouse’s final collections for fashion label Fred Perry will be donated to a charity set up in her memory.
Bosses at the British brand are set to release ranges the tragic soul star designed before she was found dead last month.
Winehouse's previous creations have been a hit for Fred Perry, and now her father Mitch has announced pieces from the autumn/winter 2011 collection will be sold to benefit the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
Mitch said, "When Fred Perry came to us to ask what we would like to do with the new collection it was natural to continue. Amy loved working on both collections and would want them to be made available.
"All the money we make and the donation that Fred Perry will give will go straight into to the Amy Winehouse Foundation which we are setting up to help.
A Fred Perry spokesperson said, "Amy was passionate and dedicated to the collaboration, and her signature style is clearly stamped across each piece. Amy's royalties and fees from both collections will be donated to the soon-to-be-established Amy Winehouse Foundation. Fred Perry will also make a seasonal donation to the Foundation."
The Amy Winehouse Foundation will provide help and support to those battling addiction, and will be available at Fred Perry outlets at Burjuman, Dubai Mall, Festival Centre and Deira City Cenre in September.
