Will & Jada Pinkett Smith investigated by child protective services?!
Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith were once accused of starving their daughter Willow by Child Protective Services officials.
The shocking accusation followed the publication of a photo of the singer, then 13, lying in bed with a topless male friend, Moises Arias, who was 20 at the time.
And though Willow insisted the picture had "no raunchy intonation whatsoever" and she thought of Arias as "a brother", the Los Angeles agency received a complaint that the Whip My Hair star looked much too thin, which led to an investigation.
"It was one of those blatant moments that you just realise, 'There's a difference here... What's considered sexual if you have black skin... versus white," Pinkett Smith raged on her Facebook series Red Table Talk.
Admitting she was already "furious" over the suggestion she and Will weren't feeding their daughter enough, the Angel Has Fallen star noted she was further riled up by Willow on the day agency staffers came to visit, because the teen announced that she hadn't eaten breakfast.
"They already think we’re starving you, you’re going to walk in with a bowl of cereal at two o’clock and say this is your first meal," Pinkett Smith remembered.
Willow, now 19, immediately told her mum her intention was quite different.
"I walked in with a bowl of cereal specifically because I knew that they said you were starving me," she shared. "I was like, 'You know what? I’m going to walk in with food and eat the entire time! I’m going to eat throughout the entire interview!'"
Naturally, the allegation was unproven, but Pinkett Smith feels it was a learning experience for both Willow and her older brother Jaden.
"We really locked up together as a family," the actress revealed. "It was like, 'Oh, we’re getting attacked', so the kids got to see for the first time why Will and I had been so protective."
