Who wants to film a movie with Brad Pitt in Abu Dhabi?
Ever dream of becoming an actor? Better yet, ever dream of sharing a scene with the world’s biggest actor? Well, this is your time to shine!
Residents of the UAE have a once in a lifetime opportunity to be cast alongside Brad Pitt in War Machine, which starts filming this month. The casting session will be held in Abu Dhabi’s Rotana building at twofour54 on Friday October 16 and Saturday October 17 between 2pm and 8pm.
According to reports, the team is looking for former military personnel with specialised weapons experience, as well as less-experienced players that have a “military look about them”. As the movie is a military satire about the war in Afghanistan, the casting team have already been to Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain to search for extras to play “Afghan villagers”. One hopeful who attended said: “I was advised that this would be a great opportunity for young college students to play fresh army recruits.”
The production, which is funded by Netflix, will be available in theatres and to Netflix subscribers in 2016. Brad Pitt will star as a U.S military general. Starring alongside him in the satirical comedy will be Will Poulter and Topher Grace (Remember him from That 70s Show?).
Brad Pitt is due to arrive in Abu Dhabi in the last week of October to begin filming, according to The National newspaper. His wife, Angelina Jolie, and their children are expected to join him.
