The UAE outpost of the St. James original in DIFC is debuting a
refreshed menu featuring seasonal produce. The ingredients for spring and
summer include white and green asparagus, rhubarb, squash, spring peas,
tomatoes and mussels. Alongside
Wheeler’s signature British seafood dishes, there will be lighter flavours that
draw influence from European cuisine.
Executive Chef, Gavin Gleeson, will be serving up delights like poached
white and green asparagus with truffle Hollandaise; roast vine tomato and
pepper soup; mussels Mariniére, squash and parsley ravioli and tomato risotto
with spring vegetables.
Wheeler’s was established in London in 1856 and opened in DIFC last
year, the 106-seat
restaurant boasts high ceilings with unique lighting features, marble floors,
wood paneling, a bar and lounge area and show kitchen.
