Wheeler’s of St James’s Dubai Launches New Menu
Craving a taste of home served with a contemporary twist and an air of finesse? Celeb chef Marco Pierre White's sophisticated haunt in the DIFC is delivering just that under the leadership of senior corporate chef, British born and bred, Daniel Lewis.
"We have great new concepts and are thrilled to be expanding the Wheeler's menu towards British cuisine with a contemporary influence," he says of the new menu. "I truly believe in working very closely with all our suppliers to maintain premium quality and also using the best of what will be on the market and sustainable for a set period of time, we hope to consistently deliver great products."
Dishes on the new menu include starting dishes of ballantine of fois gras with ginger breadcrumbs and quince and Cornish crab salad served with green beans, potato and sauce tatar, while mouth-watering mains of Black Angus steak served up with sides of triple cooked chips, onion puree, melted cherry tomatoes and Béarnaise sauce is sure to hit the spot. Those craving more traditional flavours cannot possibly go wrong with the battered cod or the salt marsh lamb with a side of dauphinoise potatoes.
That's not to say that the eatery's famed seafood dishes retreat to the shadows; the chilled seafood platter, overflowing with marine delights such as delicious king prawns, crab legs, langoustines, mussels, lobster and native oysters are still engineered to perfection and if you have yet to try the Whole Grilled Dover Sole with classic meunière, you really have no idea what you're missing!
