Scientists in Malaysia have decided to name a new water beetle they discovered after Wolf Of Wall Street Star, Leonardo DiCaprio.
The 43-year-old actor star was granted the odd honour after the bug was found in the Maliau Basin in Malaysian Borneo. The tribute coincides with the 20th anniversary of the launch of the environmental activist's Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.
The 43-year-old appears to be proud of his association with the creature as he changed his Facebook profile to an image of the beetle, the srouvellinus leonardodicaprioi, on Tuesday.
"This new beetle may not win any Oscars for charisma, but in biodiversity conservation, every creature counts," Dr Iva Njunjic, co-founder of Taxon Expeditions, joked of the tribute.
