Manchester United star Wayne Rooney is learning the art of Bollywood dancing! Why you ask? To keep fit and healthy of course.
Wayne has been left on the bench after a recent hamstring injury and according to reports, to get back on the field the English striker got hooked to a workout which includes salsa, Bollywood and belly-dancing moves.
Apparently, Wayne feels Hindi film songs are a great workout for the entire body and he's even hired a private tutor to teach him the moves.
Meanwhile leading Bollywood choreographers have applied for a patent on Bollywood dance. With a lot of Hollywood celebrities using these dances as a form of exercise, they feel the time is apt to spread the word. “We have applied for a patent for Bollywood dance as a new form of cardio, which will then be introduced in various fitness centres as a form of cardio exercise,” said choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan.
Most choreographers agree with Farah that Bollywood dancing can be an effective form of exercise. With songs that elevate your mood, keep you in shape and give you a chance to hear great music, it will undoubtedly attract a lot of takers. We wonder if someone will create the Rooneywood dance?
