The Wanted's Max George Defends Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan's recent nightclub brawl has been blown out of proportion according to Max George.
The Wanted singer has broken his silence about the 26-year-old 'Mean Girls' star's fight at Avenue nightclub in New York in the early hours of 29 November and insists the scuffle between the actress and Tiffany Mitchell has been blown out of proportion and that Lindsay is a "top girl".
The 'Glad You Came' singer told radio show host Jojo Wright in Los Angeles on 30 November: "We were just out and there was a bit of trouble with someone in the club. But it got blown out of proportion to be honest."
Lindsay spent the evening with Max and his bandmates Jay McGuiness, 22, and Tom Parker, 24, at the club after their Madison Square Garden concert with Justin Bieber on 28 November.
Lindsay had reportedly set her sights on hooking up with Max and became "enraged" when she saw 28-year-old fortune teller Tiffany talking to him.
But the 24-year-old singer insists he wasn't the root of the altercation.
He said: "It wasn't me. I didn't instigate anything. It was nothing to do with me."
But the boyband star revealed he would love to hang out with the 'Liz & Dick' star again.
He said: "She's cool. She was a top girl. She's good fun. She's a nice girl."
Lindsay has already received support from Max's bandmate Jay, who was spotted wearing a homemade 'Free Lindsay' t-shirt on stage during the group's concert in New York just hours after she was charged with assaulting Tiffany.
