Charlotte Holmes has spent the last 11 months holding the title of Miss England. After winning the 2012 crown the beauty made the final 15 of Miss World and has since been meeting celebs, helping charities and even running the London Marathon. And that’s not all. Charlotte, 24, competed in Britain’s Next Top Model in 2010 and went on to become a successful model in London. She’s even been compared to Kate Middleton, and after meeting her in the flesh, Charlotte really does have it all: the brains, the looks, and of course the fab body! So how does she look so drop-dead gorgeous?
Well of course it helps that Charlotte really does love to exercise. “I’ve always been really active; since the age of three I’ve danced. I love all kinds of exercise and I think enjoying it is a big part of it.” Well that certainly does help, but is she a fitness freak? “No I’m definitely not”, she says, “but I do love the feeling you get after you’ve worked out, it’s so rewarding.” So what exactly does she like to do on a daily basis? “I try to work out at least three times a week. I love to pop down to Pineapple Studios when I’m in London and join in with some of the dance classes there when I can. I also love to do a run around the area I live in first thing in the morning. Some days I will do more exercise in the afternoon too, it just depends how much time I have.” Okay that doesn’t sound too much like hard work, but she’s just completed the London Marathon with a fab time of just over five hours. She must have trained seriously hard for that? “I didn’t start training until a couple of months before the marathon. I did the Paris half marathon as a guideline of how far I could run, and after that I started to train properly. I ran quite a bit but didn’t have time to do as much as I would have liked.” So will she do it again to better her time? “Absolutely. I’m going to do it again next year.”
She works out, but surely she must be constantly on a diet too to get a body like that? “I don’t believe in diets. I think you need to have a lifestyle change rather than constantly diet. I don’t believe in fad diets, they just don’t work.” So what does she eat? “I’m quite balanced really. If I want a piece of cake, I have a piece of cake, but then I’ll eat healthily for the rest of the day to make up for it. I’m conscious of what I eat, but I can pretty much eat what I want if I balance it out with exercise.” That sounds pretty healthy to us! Having treats but balancing them out with healthy snacks and plenty of exercise. So what about when she was competing for Miss England – did Charlotte got any nutritional help? “My boyfriend is a personal trainer and nutritionist so I get plenty of tips from him. That’s all the help I had though.”
Charlotte’s body is amazing and we’re so envious of her athletic figure, but there must be someone whose body she aspires to have? “Kelly Brook has an incredible figure – I love her curvaceous look”, she tells us, proving you always want something different to what you have! But would she ever consider surgery to change her body? “I’m a massive wimp, there’s no way I could go through with any surgery through choice. Just get me a padded bra!”

Morning
• Glass of water
• 20-30 minute run
• Scrambled eggs or porridge for breakfast

Afternoon
• A balanced meal: chicken with salad or salmon and vegetables
• Dance class or 40-minute session in the gym

Evening
• A healthy stir-fry or balanced meal of meat or fish with vegetables

Treats
• Fruit or, if you’re feeling really naughty, a piece of cake. Just run around the block to work it off!
