Starting today, 15 September, the newly revamped eatery by celeb chef Richard Sandoval will be celebrating Mexican Independence Day with a week-long festival. The special menu will feature a range of delicacies from starters of the very exotic sounding Aguachile de Mariscos (that's calamari, with sea scallops, citrus-roasted jalapeño, avocado, onion and coriander to you and me), to mains of authentic homemade corn tortillas stuffed with shredded braised lamb, avocado, pickled onion and chilli pasilla salsa.
Desserts are also no run-of-the-mill affair with the unconventional yet sumptuous Tamal de elote, which are corn cakes that are usually served as a traditional breakfast food or the starchy side to a main meal in South America. This version however, is dressed with blueberries, cinnamon ice cream and hibiscus sauce for a yummy, and quite heavy sweet end (so make sure you save room!) Wash it all down with some limited edition cocktails packed with a Mexican flavour punch, for a Fiesta that you'll feel from within!
