Victoria Beckham Has Her Say on the Spice Girls Reunion
We’ve all been dying for a Spice Girls reunion for years. Every time a few of the girls are even pictured together, rumours fly about the band reforming.
Well, Victoria Beckham has quickly dispelled those rumours with some crushing comments in a recent interview. “What we did in the Spice Girls was so special. If they sang Spice Girls songs I think I might be a bit sad,” she told the Sunday Times. Ouch!
Meanwhile, Emma Bunton, Gerri Halliwell and Melanie Brown (Mel B) teased fans with a YouTube video saying, “We have the best fans in the whole entire world…we want to say a big thank you. This is a celebration for you. We hope to tell you soon what you want, what you really, really want.”
When asked about if she wishes Baby, Scary and Ginger Spice well as they reform as Spice GEM (Gerri, Emma and Mel B), she said, “Of course, as a new group, I do, I just think they should sing their own material.”
Melanie Chisolm, Sporty Spice, also had her say on the reunion rumours, "The hardest part for me was letting people down," she told Love magazine. "But something just didn't feel quite right, and I had to follow my gut."
Meanwhile, Mel B told James Corden on the Late Late Show, “We're going to perform and celebrate together for the people. The other two didn't want to do it!”
Even if it’s just three of the five original gals, we’ll take it!
