Bad news for anyone hoping for blue skies, it's set to be "hot and hazy" for the rest of the week, according to the weekly weather report released by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) this morning.
It's expected that the dusty, hazy weather will continue until Friday August 3, with the chance of rain on Monday and Tuesday, July 30 and 31.
On Thursday August 2, it's expected to be foggy in the morning, breaking with haze and rain later in the day.
A weather warning was also issued, with visibility of less than 2,000m in areas
It's also affecting the quality of the air
Air quality app, Air Matters, has rated the air pollution in Dubai as very high on the Air Quality Index Standard.
What does that mean? According to Air Matters, "Everyone should reduce physical exertion, particularly outdoors, especially if you experience symptoms such as cough or sore throat. Adults and children with lung problems, adults with heart problems, and older people, should avoid strenuous physical activity. People with asthma may find they need to use their reliever inhaler more often."
The app has charted the climb from low (green) to very high (purple) on the Air Quality Index Standard over the last two days...
Hopefully we'll be back to normal by the end of the week!
