UAE rulers pardon prisoners ahead of Eid celebrations
It’s a fresh new beginning for the 669 prisoners in Abu Dhabi that will be freed ahead of the Eid holidays, under the order of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president and ruler of UAE. His Highness’ pardon, is an act of kindness that will allow the prisoners an opportunity to start over and reunite with their families on the happy occasion of Eid. He has also promised to take care of any financial troubles that the prisoners will face.
The gesture has been appreciated and replicated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai - who is coordinating with Dubai police to help free 430 prisoners- and His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the ruler of Sharjah -who has ordered the release of 400 prisoners.
