More than half of the UAE residents feel the Expo will help boost the economy
As Dubai is set to welcome visitors from across the globe at the Dubai Expo 2020 later this year, a new survey reveals that a large majority of UAE residents (67%) are looking forward to attend the event.
However, when it comes to the benefits of the Dubai Expo, the respondents were a little less optimistic than expected.
A reported 55% of UAE residents said they think it will boost the UAE and Dubai’s economy, 51% of the residents feel it will attract prospective investments, and half of residents believe it will increase the influx of tourists in the country.
Less than half of the UAE residents think the Dubai Expo will enhance the UAE’s reputation as a business hub (49%) and will lead to the creation of more jobs (48%).
Among those who are likely to visit the expo, people aged 30+ are more likely to be present than younger adults in the country. Similarly, working professionals are more likely than non-working residents (72% vs 51%) to visit the expo.
Even married residents, especially ones with children, are more likely than the single people to attend the event.
The study conducted by YouGov surveyed 1004 respondents of varying demographics.
