An employee of the UAE public relations agency, Edelman Middle East, has recently tested positive for coronavirus, and as such, the offices has been temporarily closed.
Health officials reported that the employee had just returned from a trip to Europe (the county has not been confirmed yet) when they arrived at the Dubai airport and were tested positive for the virus.
A spokesperson for the office confirmed the news to The National and said the company is having employees work remotely for the time being.
Both Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices have been closed as a precaution.
On Tuesday, the total number of confirmed cases in the UAE rose to 74, and there are 12 recovered cases so far.
