The UAE Government has ordered all flights be grounded for the next two weeks as precautionary measures to reduce the spreaad of COVID-19.
All inbound, outbound and transit will be suspended for the two weeks, from March 25.
It followed news that Emirates was suspending all flights, however, retracted the message following requests from governments to help repatriate citizens.
The General Civil Aviation Authority, GCAA, said cargo and emergency evacuation flights would be exempt, releasing a statement.
"Additional examination and isolation arrangements will be taken later should flights resume in order to ensure the safety of passengers, air crews, and airport personnel and their protection from infection risks," the statement said.
