Two women have been charged with assault over an argument about a parking space

A man’s two wives physically and verbally attacked each other, with one threatening to set fire to the other’s car if she didn’t remove her car from the villa parking in Dubai this week.

Both wives are Iranian nationals, aged 37 and 25, are charged with assault and are also accused of verbally abusing each other.

The 75-year-old husband, a Comoros Islands businessman, is also accused of physically and verbally insulting his 25-year-old wife.

The case was registered on May 11 and was registered at Al Qusais police station.

The husband and his two wives are standing trial at the Dubai Court of First instance under physical, verbal and threat charges.

The 37-year-old said that at 6:30 in the evening on May 11, the other wife came to her section of the house and threatened her.

"She threatened to burn my car if I did not take it out of where it was parked. My son was  present."

Her son supported her statement and admitted that he saw the other woman threaten his mother. "She said she would set our car ablaze if my mother did not take it out of the parking. She also warned her that she would start a fire in the house if she did not leave it."
