It's not been easy for Tulisa Contostavlos since she left N-Dubz, and her 2015 got off to a bad start this week when she lost an appeal against a conviction for punching a blogger at a 2013 music festival.

Tulisa was found guilty of common assault last year for hitting showbiz writer and U.K. reality star Vas Morgan in the face at V Festival two years ago, leaving him with a swollen left eye. She denied the allegation, claiming a verbal disagreement between the pair never turned physical, but was convicted of assault last year.

She launched a formal appeal against the verdict and appeared in a London court to argue her case, but on the judge upheld the conviction, ruling she had experienced a "lack of self-control" when she lashed out at Morgan. The good news is that she got her sentence amended - she will no longer have to pay £100 in compensation, while a fine of £200 has been changed to a conditional discharge. The bad news is she'll now have to pay an additional £1,500 in court costs. Ouch.
