For a twist on the typical iftar, why not head to Rixos The Palm?

The Dubai hotel is holding an Ottoman-style banquet in its Ramadan tent, Qasr Al Sultan, that's sure to excite the senses.

Once you've satisfied your appetite, you can relax with shisha and coffee, or even try your hand at backgammon and chess!

Playing cards will also be provided, and there's free Wi-Fi for all guests.

The iftar includes both buffet and à la carte options and features a number of Turkish specialities, plus dishes from across the Middle East.

You'll be able to sate your sweet tooth with selections from the live dessert counter, including baklava, kunafe and Turkish delight, as well as traditional Turkish maras ice-cream.

The whole shabang will be held to a backdrop of Ottoman and Middle Eastern tunes as band Al Salateen plays live throughout the proceedings.
