MADONNA and her estranged husband GUY RITCHIE plan to spend the festive season together at their English country estate - for the sake of their children.
The couple has been wrangling over custody of son ROCCO, eight, adopted DAVID, three, and Madonna's daughter LOURDES, 12, since their divorce was agreed last month.
But they have decided to suspend their feud during the Christmas period - and will spend the holidays together at $15 million Ashcombe House in Wiltshire, England.
An insider tells British newspaper The Mail On Sunday, "Madonna and Guy want the best for the kids and so she has decided to come over to the U.K. so they can be with their father. Madonna arrives in England on December 23 and is planning to stay for Christmas.
"Madonna doesn't really like Ashcombe but she thinks it's important that they put on a united front for the kids."
Director Ritchie has moved out of the family home in central London and is currently living above his London office whilst busy working on latest movie Sherlock Holmes.
Meanwhile the couple's children have been accompanying their mother across the globe on her Sticky Sweet world tour.
The source adds, "Guy hasn't seen the kids for weeks and he is desperate to be with them over the holidays. They have been travelling a lot and he just wants them home."
