  • As Senior Vice President, Events Management of Dubai World Trade Centre, with the strong support of our Director General and colleagues, I oversee a portfolio of influential events that impact on business, culture and leisure activities in the UAE.

  • At GITEX Technology Week, we created the Global Start-up Movement hosting 1,400 start-up founders and executives from 60 countries. As we strive to make Dubai the smartest and happiest city in the world, I believe this infusion of innovation helps to enrich social experiences on a daily basis.

  • The UAE has the largest number of food and beverage outlets per capita in the world and in 2016, Gulfood, the world’s biggest food event, brought together 60,000 people, as master chefs, culinary experts and food executives from 172 countries gathered together for all things food.

  • The Dubai Boat Show is now in its 25th year and is a cornerstone of the Dubai leisure and marine industry. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, once approached me unexpectedly to thank my team and me for our work on this event during the challenging year of 2009. This gesture humanised the leadership for me. It was humbling that the leadership observes, appreciates and remembers on all levels.
