  • I’m the Chef Patron at Jason Atherton’s Marina Social and in 2016, my biggest achievement was that my team and I have managed to develop this British-Mediterranean-inspired restaurant into an award-winning venue and create a concept that Dubai residents love and keep coming back to.

  • I’m really proud to be working for Jason Atherton and being able to lead such a good group of people – it’s so rewarding. He’s described Marina Social as "a pocket of London right in the heart of Dubai".

  • I have no regrets, and I believe that every single decision I made has led me to become the person I am today.

  • My favourite childhood memory is my mother cooking her famous shepherd’s pie. But, if I hadn’t become a chef, I’d have wanted to become a musician or a Formula 1 driver.

  • My most prized possession is a set of handmade Japanese knives I received from Gordon Ramsay when I left Maze in London.

  • Usually, I don’t have a lot of downtime, but when I do, a perfect day off in Dubai would be (exactly in this order) coffee, gym, shower, breakfast, couch time, wake-up, swimming pool and sunshine (it’s Dubai after all), short nap, again – followed by dinner at the newest spot in town.

  • As I go forward into this year, I want to continue learning as a person, a chef and a leader.
