Now we’re not saying you start dressing head to do in clashing fluorescent frocks (yet), so let’s start out slow. The great thing is there’s a perfect way to break in your wardrobe and it won’t cost the earth. Look to the likes of Emily Blunt who has nailed the look with this wonderful Roksanda Ilincic dress. Her top half may be vivid, but thanks to the neutral base it isn’t overwhelming. Likewise Malin Akerman teamed a citrus yellow bustier with a tightly fitting pencil skirt keep the look fun and fresh rather than fruit bowl. Lanvin for HM did a fantastic version too if you were lucky enough to snap it up. If not, it’s easy to replicate. Keep the top half bright and if possible add a little texture. Crushed silk is great and looks so luxurious. Likewise lace will keep you ahead of the fashion set.
