Treatment Review: Anti-Ageing Booster Facial
WHAT: The sort of sci-fi facial that celebs get before Oscars night
WHERE: Rebecca Treston Aesthetics; 04 394 5422, www.euromedclinicdubai.com
HOW LONG: 60 to 90 minutes
HOW MUCH: Dhs2,000
THE TREATMENT: Designed specifically to eliminate the signs of ageing, this package comprises three treatments to target individual signs of ageing: Revital RF is a non-surgical treatment used to tighten the skin, lift the eye area and rejuvenate the contours of the neck and jawline; Spectra VRM III laser resurfaces and brightens the complexion by blasting away dead skin cells; and mesotherapy employs several small needle jabs to open the skin and deliver hydrating fluid to the cells.

Rebecca Treston herself administers the treatment and she is by far one of the best laser specialists in the region. Straight-talking and strictly professional, she’ll only offer this triple treatment post-consultation as it’s not suited to all skin types. The good news is, she’s holding an open day on 23 May between 10am and 1pm where you can ask questions and see treatment demos – book now to reserve a free place and get a goodie bag to boot.
THE RESULTS: This may weigh in at around four times the price of an average facial, but the results are 10 times better, so it’s worth doing. The Revital made me look less tired and more taut; the Spectra smoothed my skin and laser-bleached my ‘tache blonde as an added bonus; the mesotherapy left my skin thoroughly moisturised and supple. After the three stages, a soothing algae mask was applied (pictured, right) and when it was removed my skin wasn’t even red. The only downside was that I couldn’t reapply makeup for the rest of the day after the mesotherapy, and I had to go back to work. Next time I book, I’ll go for an evening appointment – and with results this good, there’ll definitely be a next time.
