What’s better than a pampering session followed by a feast of food? Not much, really. And that’s exactly what we did at The Oberoi hotel in Dubai recently. After a busy weekend, we dropped in at the The Oberoi Spa and Wellness Centre on a lazy Saturday afternoon for some pampering, followed by a feast to remember at Ananta.
The Oberoi Spa and Wellness Centre
The Oberoi Spa and Wellness Centre at The Oberoi Dubai is a luxurious haven of peace and tranquillity, providing a perfect escape from busy schedules and the rush of a bustling city. The Oberoi Spa is spread over an area of over 4,700 square feet and is operational daily from 9am until midnight, making it extremely convenient for guests and visitors.
The Oberoi Spa and Wellness centre comprises of seven therapy rooms, each offering a private treatment and relaxation area, an en-suite steam shower and personal washroom. The spa also features a special couple's spa room equipped with its own terrace pool and space for the last word in private recreation and contemplation.
You’ll even get to choose your own massage oils, depending on your massage needs. We opted for a facial (one hour) and Balinese full body massage (one hour), and felt completely revitalised and refreshed afterwards. In fact, it was so relaxing that we ended up nodding off. Oops!
There's nothing better than a delicious meal fater a session of pampering! After our visit to The Oberoi Spa and Wellness Centre, we headed to Ananta, which is the Indian signature restaurant at The Oberoi, Dubai. Located on the lobby level of the hotel, the restaurant captures India’s rich culinary heritage showcasing a variety of authentic cooking techniques with a focus on culinary theatre to provide a memorable experience for every guest.
The menu offers the very best of traditional as well as contemporary Indian tastes and flavours. Ananta signature dishes include a variety of North Indian delicacies and a selection of artistically prepared modern Indian dishes. The meals are accompanied with authentic Indian beverages and range of Indian desserts.
If you can’t decide between all the delicious dishes, be sure to try one of their set menus! You’ll get to sample all of the best Indian dishes that Ananta has to offer in one go. But be sure to not overindulge, because you’ll definitely want to try their delicious gulab jamun and variety of kulfi for desert. You’ll thank us later.
If it’s a traditional Indian meal you’re looking in a relaxed and beautiful venue, then look no further than Ananta.
