Treat Your Tastebuds at Doha's Biggest Food Festival
Qatar – get ready for a culinary journey around the world!
The fifth Qatar International Food Festival will take place at the Museum of Islamic Art Park from Thursday to Sunday (20 to 23 March), providing an opportunity to taste test cuisines from dozens of countries.
The highly popular annual event, hosted by Qatar Tourism Authority in partnership with Qatar Airways, will reflect Qatar’s incredibly diverse population through traditional foods as well as the five-star fine dining which Doha is renowned for.
There will be tastings, cooking demonstrations, chef cook-offs and musical performances over the four days, along with stations and displays representing many of Qatar’s top restaurants and hotels.
For a novel dining experience, book early to get a seat for Dining in the Sky, a huge hit at last year's festival. Diners are seated on an elevated platform to enjoy their dinner as they take in stunning views from MIA Park over the Doha skyline.
To make it easier for festival-goers, the International Zone will feature lounges representing different parts of the world, including Europe, the Arab world, Asia and America.
In line with the Qatar Brazil 2014 Year of Culture, there will be cooking demonstrations from Brazilian and Qatar chefs working together to create unique fusion dishes along with samples of traditional Brazilian dishes, such as churrasco, a barbecue with a variety of grilled meats.
There will also be a Healthy Food Zone, providing recipe ideas, along with plenty of samples, including a wide range of salads, fresh seafood and meats, fresh juices and teas.
