Travel Review: Mykonos' Nammos Village

The newly opened Nammos Village ( in Mykonos is what shopping spree dreams are made of. From the team behind the famous Nammos Restaurant and Beach Club, the location has seen celebs flock to soak up some sun, party, and now of course, shop as much as their private jet maximum loads can handle. Regulars to Nammos include Mariah Carey, Eva Longoria, Lewis Hamilton and Kendal Jenner, and the addition of the new luxury shopping complex is no doubt going to attract a new army of serious star shoppers. Ahlan! takes a first look at Nammos Village before the rest of Tinseltown touches down.

Kate Moss and the crew were present at the big opening of Nammos Village, so you know the party crowd is no less than fabulous. Nammos Beach Club lines up resident DJs to bring the sounds of Mykonos to you and your gorgeous company. Dance or chill out with shisha from sunset till late, or if you fancy splashing out, then book a VIP cabana at the beach front. They come with a private outdoor Jacuzzi, St Barth’s skin products, fully stocked bar and outrageous dessert trays. There is also a private butler and driver at your disposal.  Ahlan! must buy: You’re going to be obsessed when you walk into the Avery Perfumes Gallery at Nammos Village, so make sure you pick some up to bring an air of glamour to the party.

Do we love shopping? Er, is Oprah rich? Of course we do! While we may not all have the bank balances of the Big O, we all have credit cards, and that’s basically the same thing. Time to put the plastic in the chip’n’pin where it belongs in retail heaven. At Nammos Village there are brands galore including Christian Louboutin, Dior, Gucci, Oscar de la Renta, Louis Vuitton and Aesthet – a store that stocks locally designed Greek pieces from Mitos and Celia Dragouni.
Ahlan! must buy: Where do we start? Well, we love the summer dresses from Greek designers Zeus+Dione, and basically everything from the Christian Louboutin and Oscar de la Renta boutiques

Nammos Night, Mykonos

The UAE may have some stunning beaches, but Nammos has the shimmering Aegean Sea with golden sands. You’ll get a chance to frolic in waters that the likes of Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski have dipped their slender bodies into (how exciting!), and when done, Seora Riviera sunbeds line the beachfront ready for you to catch rays or cosy up under the umbrella (with a copy of Ahlan!, obvs).
Ahlan! must buy: Make sure you grab some breathable and lightweight linens before hitting the sand from our local faves Fácil Blanco ( You might also want to pick up some Victoria Beckham sunglasses at Ralph’s Diner boutique in the village.

There are three must-try restaurants on the island; starting with Nammos Restaurant ( by the beach, which serves succulent treasures of the sea. You’ll tuck into super fresh seafood while hedonistic sounds echo from the beach club. Then we have Ling Ling Mykonos ( in the centre of old town. Ling Ling serves contemporary Cantonese food (think dim sum platters, lobster cooked three ways, and chicken satay) inspired by sister restaurant Hakkasan’s legendary dishes with the local ingredients of Mykonos. Finally, perched high up in the hills with soaring views of the city and the famous windmills is new Italian joint Casa Tu ( One of the most romantic places we’ve ever experienced – we’ll bet Gigi and Zayn will be back to canoodle under the stars, candlelight and incredible duck truffle ravioli.
Ahlan! must buy: Dior stock limited edition Mykonos pieces at Nammos Village. Perfect for nights out on the island.

Ling Ling Restaurant, Mykonos

Petinos Beach Hotel ( is a short drive from Nammos Village, Nammos Beach Club and Mykonos’ finest restaurants. All 24 spacious guest rooms and suites are spacious, carry Korres bath products and, while in the heart of the action, provide a quiet escape from the party. We love the private balconies, and of course, breakfast. Also worth checking out is Mykonos Blu (, featuring cycladic dramatic décor, sensual views and overall island chicness right above Psarou Beach and Nammos.
Ahlan! must buy: The hotels should provide everything you need for a comfortable night’s sleep, but if you really must purchase anything, grab some Stonemen cottons ( which come in palm tree prints to give you that holiday feeling.
