Top Lebanese Musician in Dubai for New Year Concert

Charbel Rouhana will join Dubai’s very own Sharq Orchestra for the show at DUCTAC on 13 January 2012

Music lovers, save the date! Violinist Mohamad Hamami, the Dubai-based Sharq Orchestra and top Lebanese oud player Charbel Rouhana are returning to DUCTAC, Mall of the Emirates with their unique interpretations of Arabic classics and their own compositions for a special New Year’s concert on 13 January 2012. 

Charbel Rouhana is widely regarded as Lebanon’s finest oud player, and has won awards including the Murex d’Or (Musician of the Year) and the First Prize at the Hirayama, Japan competition for his composition Hymn of Peace. This will be his second appearance with Sharq, which is led by Mohamad Hamami.

The Sharq Orchestra, which was created in 2008, brings together 45 musicians from 22 countries for a distinctive musical touch. And the New Year concert seems like the perfect place to rediscover their magic as well as Rouhana’s!
