The reality show star-turned-fashionista is in the UAE – and you could meet her as she launches her pop-up shop. The first outlet of Richie’s House of Harlow 1960 line to hit the Emirates, it’ll offer designer buys including clothes, jewellery, accessories and shoes – expect beaded jackets, striped cardies, tasselled suede shorts, fringed clutches and her trademark oversized cat-eye frames. The collection’s already won a firm following in Celebville, with everyone from Kim Kardashian and Miley Cyrus to Rihanna sporting her quirky Boho-chic pieces.

Check out Latin Art Fest in Al Quoz!

A one-off happening showcasing art, cuisine and entertainment, this cultural fiesta will occupy a whole street and represent a number of countries in the Americas, plus Spain. One attraction will be a solo exhibition by British photographer Tariq Zaidi; called Latinos in the UAE, it’ll run for the next two weeks.

National Theatre Live is a ground-breaking project which beams some of London’s finest stage shows directly from the West End to screens all over the globe. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Trainspotting’s Jonny Lee Miller, Angelina Jolie’s long-forgotten first husband, this production of Frankenstein was directed by Oscar-winner Danny Boyle and has been seen by almost half a million people worldwide since its broadcast in 2011.

If you ever wanted to appear in the Guinness Book of World Records, now’s your chance. The highlight of the all-day Dubai International Kite Fest will be a bold attempt to smash the record for the greatest number of people simultaneously flying kites – currently more than 15,000. Show your support and you’ll get a certificate proving you took part. If you can’t join in, head down anyway – there’ll be kite-making workshops, face-painting, food, music and more.
