This weekend, Formula One hits Abu Dhabi - here's a list of highlights and insights on the UAE's biggest event of the month...

1. See Britney and Paul McCartney

When day one on the track wraps, Britney Spears will be headlining the first night of celebrations, at the Abu Dhabi F1. The US pop star will be performing live on 11 November at the 2011 Grand Prix as part of her Femme Fatal tour and it’s set to be hot.

Paul McCartney is closing the celebrations on the final day of the Formula One. The hitmaker will also be performing live for one-night-only so make sure you stick around once the last set of tyres have skidded over the finish line.

2. The Big Race

There will be some serious  pit lane eye candy with Jenson Button and a newly-single Lewis Hamilton doing the rounds during the Abu Dhabi F1. Watch as the men go head-to-head on the tracks to battle it out for first place at the 2011 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The Grand Prix kicks off on 10 November and runs until the 13 November. Practice sessions start on 11 November at around 1pm and finish at 6.30pm. On 12 November racing starts at 2pm and ends at 6pm and on the final days racing starts around 12pm with the final race at 5pm.

3. Yasalam - Beats on the Beach

Can't afford the F1? Never fear because Beats on the Beach is a free series of concerts at the Abu Dhabi Corniche which coincides with the Grand Prix schedule. Oh and the line-up is just as hot on the sand as it is trackside. Think Fatboy Slim, Wyclef Jean and Jay Sean. They’ll all be performing during the four-day event so make sure you get down to The Corniche to check out the international acts.

4. Rock to The Cult and Incubus

To keep the entertaining buzz going mid-event, The Cult and Incubus will be performing live, trackside. The international bands will take to the stage with The Cult opening for Incubus.

British band The Cult formed in 1983 when Ian Astbury, Billy Duffy, John Tempesta and Chris Wyse formed the band. They soon hit headlines with their singles Love Removal Machine and Fire Woman. While American band Incubus formed in 1991 and band members Brandon Boyd, Mike Einziger, Chris Kilmore, Ben Kenney and Jose Pasillas will all be in Abu Dhabi for the gig.

So get ready to bust out tunes like She Sells Sanctuary by The Cult and Drive by Incubus.

5. Get Down With Mark Ronson

Grammy-award winning guitarist, music producer and artist, Mark Ronson, is heading to Abu Dhabi to perform live at Allure by Cipriani. The co-founder of Allido Records will be hosting an A-list party complete with aerial acrobatics, dancers and performers.

So if you’re looking for a fab after party once Paul McCartney has sung his last note, hit the uber trendy club on Yas Island.

6. Autograph Session

Get ready to battle the crowd as F1 fans line-up to get an autograph with their favourite drivers. The hottest of the racing elite will be at the Yas Marina Circuit for the public pit lane walk followed by an autograph session.

So get out your favourite caps, posters and racing paraphernalia to be autographed by your F1 hero. It’ll be a keepsake you never forget. Just remember to line-up early to beat the crowds.

7. KartZone for Kids

Along with the on-track racing spectacular, there are exciting off-track events lined up too just for the kids. Yas KartZone is offering karting, inflatable game zones, skateboard and BMX demonstrations and so much more to keep the kids occupied. Plus, there is an area dedicated just for them to have fun all day long, so you enjoy the races guilt free.

8. Oasis Area for Live DJ’s

Need a break from the fast cars and revving engines? Well then head to the Oasis Area where you’ll find a host of DJ’s battling it out on the decks. Some of the region’s best-known DJ’s including DJ Shadia as well as Abu Dhabi Big Band, Skitzophonic and dance crews Diverse and Swat Crew will be there.

9. The Black Tie Ball

Television sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher is jetting into Abu Dhabi in November to host the Chequered Flag Ball with Studio One's Tom Urquart. The British beauty will be rubbing shoulders with the A-list crowd while they enjoy dinner and drinks in the newly opened St Regis on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi.

Entertaining guests on the night will be Mica Paris and Eddie Jordan. So if you’re looking for the hottest A-list party in town, this is it!

10. Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup

Each day racers will battle it out during the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge ME and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. The international series, which started in May at the Istanbul Park, Turkey, will end its eleven race competition on the Yas Marina Circuit. The Porsche Mobil1 Supercup is an international motor racing series which has been supporting the FIA Formula One World Championship since 1993. The series last visited the UAE way back in 2009, crowning Jeroen Bleekemolen as its champion. Who will win this year?
