Whether they’re being trotted down the red carpet or snapped on the catwalk, some famous people’s kids give their parents a run for their money in the fashion stakes. With miniature sartorial icons such as Suri Cruise, Blue Ivy Carter and Harper Beckham doing battle for the crown of Cutest Kid, Ahlan! reviews the trademark looks at some of Celebville’s tiniest trendsetters…
9. Egypt Dean, 3
PARENTS: Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz
The son of Alicia Keys is too young to venture into a music career, but his modelling career started with a bang after he recently modelled for Ralph Lauren. The diminutive star has serious supermodel swagger and likes to mix up his wardrobe choices, from tweed jackets and tartan trousers to Nike trainers worn with baggy jeans. He’s a true style chameleon.
8. Skyler Berman, 3
PARENTS: Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman
His mum is a famous stylist to the stars, so she’s probably been giving him tips on how to dress to impress. Skylar’s individual style is rather quirky and he’s not afraid to wear kaftans and jumpsuits – however, his signature piece is a fedora hat, which is often worn with his curly hair falling out from underneath it. Talk about festival chic!
7. Prince George, 11 Months
PARENTS: Prince William and Kate Middleton
His chubby cheeks and regal presence are enough to melt the coldest of hearts, but his savvy style is the icing on the cake. Prince George often wears the most elegant of short overalls in an assortment of colours for his many meet and greets, and his Rachel Riley smocked romper sold out days after he wore it in public. The ‘George effect’ is in full swing.
6. Mason Disick, 4
PARENTS: Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian
His dad, Scott, is perhaps the smartest-looking man on TV, so it’s no surprise Mason is dressed in the best labels from head to toe. Following in his papa’s footsteps, Mason likes to rock velvet loafers with polo shirts from Ralph Lauren, Burberry, and Tommy Hilfiger, completing his preppy all-American look.
5.Flynn Bloom, 3
PARENTS: Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr
Having a model mother has clearly paid off, as Flynn always sports the most dapper of outfits wherever he goes. Sometimes he likes to co-ordinate with mum Miranda Kerr, while on other occasions he’s every bit the young gent. He’s also starred in a photo shoot alongside Miranda for Australian Vogue, with his brown curls upping the cuteness ante.
4. North West, 1
PARENTS: Kanye West and Kim Kardashian
Within her first week in the world, her wardrobe was full of expensive outfits gifted to her from designers Lanvin, Alexander Wang, Céline and Givenchy. North is also a reality TV star and has even bagged a centrefold with US Vogue. You can’t get any more stylish than that!
3. Blue Ivy Carter, 2
PARENTS: Jay Z and Beyoncé
Stepping out in miniature Dr Martens boots and a personalised leather jacket with ‘Miss Blue Carter’ studded on the back have made Beyoncé’s little girl a fashion leader. Even her hairstyle has attracted attention after critics said it was too messy, while others praised her for going au naturel with the afro. Either way, we think she’s just fab.
2. Harper Beckham, 2
PARENTS: David and Victoria Beckham
She’s still learning to walk, yet Harper has already rubbed shoulders with fashion’s A-list and counts Anna Wintour as one of her many fans. The sulky brunette often wears a frown, as does her mum, but also has Victoria’s designer taste and has been snapped wearing Burberry, Prada and Marc Jacobs.
1.Suri Cruise, 8
PARENTS: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes
Despite tough competition from up-and-coming celeb offspring, Suri retains her fashion crown. She has managed to eclipse her parents with her eye-catching sense of style on numerous occasions – by the age of three she was already wearing heels and rocking nail varnish, and had a designer wardrobe said to be worth a few million dirhams. Among her get-up, pieces from Oscar de la Renta, Gucci and Lanvin are her favourites.
