Couple could swap LA for the Big Apple

TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES are considering making New York City their permanent home, after falling in love with the Big Apple.

The couple and their daughter Suri have set up a base in the city's trendy East Village while Holmes performs in the play All My Sons on Broadway.

And the actor hints they have been made to feel so welcome in New York, they may stick around after the show ends its run.

During an appearance on U.S. talk show Live with Regis and Kelly on Wednesday, Cruise said, "We love it here. The people are so warm and friendly."

When probed about a permanent move, the star smiled, "... We really love it here."
