2014 marked the fifth anniversary of the founding of British Polo Day in Dubai and saw its expansion into 10 countries across five continents. British Polo day celebrates the history and heritage of the ‘game of kings’.
Our partners are a list of the best of British. Brands like Land Rover, Hackett, Harrods, Royal Salute, Abercrombie & Kent, Holland & Holland, Justerini & Brooks and Brompton are among our numerous supporters.
Although I’ve now been a lawyer for 10 years, I’m proud to have set-up British Polo Day. This is the manifestation of all my passions in life; sport, travel, interesting people, entrepreneurship and philanthropy.
In June of last year, at the British Polo Day event in the UK, our running total of money raised for good causes hit our target of $1million [Dhs3.67 million]. We support charities all over the world; that means a lot to us.
In November we were delighted to support HRH Prince Harry’s charity event The Sentebale Polo Cup in Abu Dhabi. It also raised more than $1million for his charity in Lesotho.
People seem to have a freedom and renewed vigour to pursue their dreams when they move to Dubai. There is a buzz here and huge opportunities on offer.
I shared a stage with Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne at school. If only I hadn’t decided to be a lawyer.

This fashion and lifestyle site reminds me of home.
