Tom Cruise Spends Two Hours on Red Carpet in Dubai!

07 Dec 2011

Tom Cruise was on the DIFF red carpet for Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol for two hours signing autographs and was joined by a very special guest: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum!

As night descended on Madinat Jumeirah, crowds of fans gathered along the lengthy stretch of red carpet leading to the Madinat Arena - the venue for last night’s hotly anticipated world premiere of Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol starring Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton.

Movie fans and international media started gathering from as early as 3pm for the chance to see Tom Cruise in the flesh despite knowing that they would have to wait several hours for the privilege.

Earlier rumours suggesting that Tom would appear as early as 5pm turned out to be inaccurate. The mega star didn't make it until just after 6pm, but he was well worth the wait!

Wearing a slim-cut suit and his famous maverick grin, Tom spent two hours chatting with fans and signing autographs, and then when His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum joined him on the red carpet the crowds went wild.

Tom was followed on the red rug by co-stars Simon Pegg, Anil Kapoor and Paula Patton in a flowing red gown, and director Brad Bird.
