Threads & Tailors Raise Dubai's Style
“Observe the masses and do the opposite.” This is just one of the mottos that Threads & Tailors work by to ensure their designs keep their clients in vogue. The successful ateliers has a rich history and a client base that includes both royalty and celebrities. Nestled behind Mall of the Emirates this well-kept secret has been trading since 2007, but the family behind the brand have been making suits, saris and uniforms for almost 40 years in Dubai.
Ahlan! took a closer look at Threads & Tailors and what really makes this business stand out from the rest is the attention to detail and the fact that they source the finest materials from across the globe. While some parts of Dubai’s fashion world have a reputation for being far behind the established capitals such as New York, Paris, Milan and London, T&T ensure they are up to speed and in some cases ahead.
“Here at Threads & Tailors we’re committed to delivering fashion that strengthens your confidence and self-esteem and makes you feel suave,” said the general manager Asif Hussain. “We believe in transpiring every customer’s ideas into tailor-fit clothes and finding solutions to your sartorial conundrum.” The guiding principles behind their success are precision, perseverance and reliability. They believe that precision is the art of tailoring, and they persevere to better themselves with every item made. T&T can also be relied upon to make suits, amendments and dresses with a quick turnaround depending on what it is the customer wants.
With an innovative in-house team, that notably includes the very talented Wael Hussain who is ensuring T&T reaches new heights for the next generation of suit-wearers, you can be sure to be treated to an exceptional service that doesn’t fail in giving you exactly what you want.
Although Mr Hussain is too modest to confirm which royals have graced his showroom, rumour has it that his client list includes members of the British Royal family and perhaps our own dapper dressed Sheikhs too. One well known face we can confirm is a repeat customers, however, is tennis legend Roger Federer, who made a point of signing a framed photograph of himself during a fitting in the shop.
