Convincing music legend Prince to perform not one but three private shows was a huge coup. The resulting charitable events, Autism Rocks, were a challenge to produce but became the must-have tickets of the year in both London and Dubai.
Blended and RedfestDXB, our two new festivals, were launched with distinct identities. This market didn’t have the festival concept prevalent elsewhere. The massive line-ups included Jessie J, Iggy Azalea, The Script, Rita Ora, Elvis Costello and Diana Krall.
One Direction will be the biggest ever concert staged in the Middle East. 32,500 tickets were sold in record time. There will be an adult crèche to occupy parents whose children are at the concert.
I’m up early, busy like crazy and go to bed late. I start doing mails early in the morning, try to follow up on mails from the day before at the office, and this often continues overnight. Artist agents and managers based in London and LA come online at night, so it’s an all-hours job.
Learn to say no. In the entertainment industry you’re often pushed to pay more money, distribute more free tickets or do something you don’t think is right.
I prefer attending others’ concerts. It’s nice not to have to run around sorting things out.

I read newspapers galore online.
An invaluable source for new and unsigned talent.
