
The Start Of Ramadan Is Expected To Be Announced This Tuesday
It depends if a crescent moon is spotted
It is expected that the Holy Month of Ramadan will begin on Thursday 17 May, 2018, but it's yet to be officially confirmed.
Ahead of Ramadan, a moon sighting committee has been established by the UAE’s Minister of Justice, and it is the committee that will announce the beginning of Ramadan.

If the crescent moon is spotted on Tuesday 15 May, it will be announced that Ramadan will begin on Wednesday May 16.
At the moment, in line with Sharjah's Centre for Astronomy and Space Sciences's predication earlier this year, it is expected that the Holy Month will start on 17 May this year.
