It's official - the UAE public sector will enjoy nine days off on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, the UAE government has announced.
A Tweet posted by the UAE Government stated the Eid Al Fitr holiday for the public sector will begin on Sunday June 2, with work resuming on Sunday June 9.
That means that after work finishes on Thursday, public sector employees will enjoy nine days off.
The UAE private sector will enjoy an extra four days off for Eid Al Fitr. The public holiday for the private sector will begin on Monday June 3 and either finish on Thursday June 6 or Friday June 7, as this depends on the length of the holy month.
