The Foundry Abu Dhabi Appoints New Chef
Southern Sun Abu Dhabi has recently appointed Shaunne Cordier as the new Chef de Cuisine for The Foundry, bringing fresh ideas to the much-loved restaurant. The new addition to the culinary team has been working on a new menu full of signature dishes which will be available at the eatery from 25 May.
Chef Cordier designed and launched a seafood restaurant in Capetown, as well as leading a team of chefs at the Roundhouse Restaurant, before joining The Foundry. He’s also worked alongside international chefs such as South African Olympic Chefs Trevor Boyd and Edward Clegg.
Expect new dishes on the menu including pan-seared Barramudi, braised Wagyu cheeks, oven roasted Welsh lamb rack, pan roasted breast of corn fed chicken and langoustine risotto.
“Food and dining is constantly evolving and it’s crucial to keep pushing the bar, and to become innovative and creative while building the essence of fine dining and luxury” commented Chef Cordier.
