One of the Dubai’s busiest roads, Naif Road, will experience major road closures over the next 3 weeks as it undergoes maintenance works. The first phase of maintenance began last week on Naif Road in the direction from Omar bin Al Khattab Street towards Al Musalla. This road closure will last until July 22, closely followed by the second phase of maintenance that will run from July 23 until August 5. The second road closure will occur from Al Musalla Street towards Omar bin Al Khattab Street, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
For motorists driving to Naif Road from the Burj Nahar intersection, take Street 45 from Omar Bin Al Khattab Street to reach the Al Murrar area. And for those who want to exit the Naif Road from Al Murrar area, take the exit point from Street 20 near Khalid Mosque.
Bus users be warned, as alternative bus routes are now in place! Bus routes at Naif Junction 2 and Burj Nahar Junction 2 are temporarily suspended. However, the circular route is currently operating a diverted route for affected bus users. Beginning at the Union Metro Station, this diverted route will run every 15 minutes, passing through Naif Park, Naif Junction 1, Burj Nahar Junction 1, and Al Nakhal before returning to the Union Metro Station. Users of affected bus stops are as much as 394,000 riders per month or 13,000 riders daily, according to the RTA.
Bear in mind these road closures when you are next passing through Naif Road!
