The Dubai Jazz Festival 2020 is coming and here's everything you need to know
The Dubai Jazz Festival is BACK this weekend, and 2020 is set to be just as impressive as previous.
Yes, we all know that the artists are not *strictly* jazz acts, but it's still a cracking weekend, with fabulous music, relaxed ambiance and beautiful weather (we hope!).
This year will see Lionel Richie along with OneRepublic and Ms Lauryn Hill take to the stage over the three days, from February 26-28 and here's what you need to know.
- The festival will be at the Dubai Media City Ampitheatre, with a few tickets still on sale now.
Wednesday, Feb 26:
Ms Lauryn Hill will be performing, with Bruno Major supporting.
Hill will be on stage around 10pm, doors open at 6pm.
She sings tunes like Killing Me Softly, DooWop (That Thing) and she was previously in The Fugees.
Thursday, Feb 27:
Lionel Richie will be rocking all his big hits, like Hello, All Night Long and Say You, Say Me.
He's been in the music industry for a staggering 52 years.
Richie will be on at 10pm, with doors opening at 6pm.
Spyro Gyra will also be performing
Friday, Feb 28:
OneRepublic will be performing around 10pm, and if their performance at the Dubai Airshow Gala was anything to go by, will be a smash success.
Lead singer, Ryan Tedder is responsible for penning tunes including Halo (Beyonce), Rumour Has It (Adele) and Sucker (Jonas Brothers) and if you're lucky - they might even play a few of the tunes, along with their own classics, Counting Stars, Apologize and Secrets.
Sammy Miller will be supporting.
You can get your tickets for AED350 from platinumlist.net (Golden Circle will cost you AED550).
The other stuff:
The Dubai Media City Ampitheatre is accessible by the Dubai Tram, or taxi.
F&B will be available within the facilities.
No SLR cameras are permitted into the concert venue.
