Last year, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, encouraged us all to improve our health by signing up to the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC).
The main aim was to make Dubai one of the most active cities in the world. And this year will be no different.
30 minutes of daily exercise for 30 days. Recall the drill?
Well it's back for a second year
The challenge will be held from 19 October to 17 November. And during this time, free fitness events will be available all around the city for you to participate in.
The full line up is set to be revealed in early October.
Last year’s fitness festival was pretty extraordinary, it included The XDubai Spartan Race, The Colour Run and saw the likes of sport celebrities, Cassey Ho and Kayla Itsines. A total of 786,000 citizens participated, making it a huge success.
This year, Dubai has a target of one million participants, so we can only expect it to be even bigger and better.
