The ‘Game of Fast’ is coming to Doha
Not many people are familiar with this energetic Olympic sport, but the great news is that Qatar and the Middle East can start getting excited about this cool sport thanks to the upcoming Men’s Handball World Championship, which will take place in our very own Doha from the 15th of January till the 1st of February.
With 24 teams from around the world competing and thousands of fans in attendance, the Men’s Handball World Championship will offer a great day out for families and friends.
Three venues, including the brand new Losail Multi-Purpose Hall, will host the competition, featuring a fan zone with games and stalls for visiting fans. You’ll be able to see the best handball players in the world showcasing their skills and even if you’ve never seen a handball match before there will be something to entertain and excite you. You might even have the chance to meet Fahed, Qatar 2015’s cute mascot, who has travelled the world promoting the sport of handball.
The kick off is only a week away so secure your tickets as they are selling out rapidly, especially for highly anticipated games such as Qatar vs. Brazil. The championship will also host a spectacular opening and closing ceremonies and there are rumors that major recording artists will visit Qatar to perform and entertain the crowd.
